Michael J. Guiro, 74, of Jerseytown, passed away at 11:58 PM on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born on August 19, 1946 in Newark, NJ, he is a son of the late Michael Anthony and Helen Jane (Sykes) Guiro.
He is survived by one son, Michael Joseph Guiro Jr. of Sayreville, NJ; one sister, Kimberly Derrick of Mifflintown; two nieces, Monica Guiro-Hofmann and Nicci Guiro-Todaro; one nephew, Jeffrey DeNoon; and a granddaughter, Nicole Guiro-O'Brien and a great -granddaughter, Riley O'Brien..
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his “partner in crime,” his wife, Elizbeth “Liz” (Abril) Guiro; and two brothers, Dennis James Guiro and Jeffrey Allen Guiro.
Mr. Guiro was employed and retired as an Over the Road Truck Driver for many different companies, especially in the New York City area.
He was a devout Catholic in faith and was a Permanent Standby and Senior Retired Member of the Forsaken Syndicate of Columbia County.
Michael loved to draw, watch movies, and loved children and animals; however, he will be remembered for his amazing sense of humor, his love for life, and his love for his family.
