Jacqueline D. “Jackie” Coder, 66, of Mifflintown, passed away at 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Bridges at Brookline, Mifflintown.
Born on October 4, 1950 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she was a daughter of the late Earl H. “Skip” and Janet B. “Teak” (Beers) Powley. On April 21, 1967, she married her late husband, Harry E. Coder Sr. with whom she was blessed to share more than 29 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on September 11, 1996. Her longtime companion of 21 years, Richard B. Lauver, of Mifflintown survives.
In addition to her companion she is survived by her son, Eddy Coder and his wife Nancy, of Mifflintown, a sister, Angie Foltz and her husband Phillip, of Port Royal, 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and her four legged canine Shih Tzu Maggie.
A son, Travis E. Coder preceded her in death on July 3, 1995.
She retired from the Pa. Dept. of Revenue, Harrisburg.
Jackie loved watching college football and the NFL. She always looked forward to the annual Memorial Day picnic with family and friends; however, her true passion was NASCAR.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with her longtime friend Mrs. Linda Fultz officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Stephens Lutheran Cemetery, Licking Creek.
Viewing will be held from 10 a.m., Thursday, until the time of services, at the funeral home.
