Obituary for Raymond C. "Clark" Swab

Raymond C. “Clark” Swab, 88, of Mifflintown died at 7:10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1,2023 at his home.
Born on May 21, 1935, in Licking Creek, Juniata County, he was a son of the late Raymond and Thelma (Clark) Swab. On August 26, 1954, he married his late wife, Letha C. (Clark) Swab, with whom he was blessed to share more than 63 years of marriage before her passing on October 29, 2017.
He is survived by his children, Patti Rae Strawser, of McAlisterville, Bonita Kay “Pete” Crater, and husband Kurt, Jim Swab and his wife Lori, all of Mifflintown; grandchildren, Cody Swab and Lacey Swab.
Clark is also survived by siblings, Deanna Cisney and husband, Ronald, Rich Swab and wife, Janice. He was preceded in death by sisters, Doreen Coder and Dixie Dressler.
He was a 1953 graduate of Juniata Joint High School.
Mr. Swab was a retired Lineman with forty- two years of service and a very proud member of I.B.E.W. Local 126 for sixty-seven years.
He was a member of the Lost Creek Presbyterian Church, McAlisterville, he was a past president and honorary life member of the Juniata County Sportsman Association.
Clark loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting deer and turkey but, his real passion was hunting rabbits with his beagles. He also enjoyed watching baseball, football and Nascar.
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Graham Fowler officiating. Interment will be held in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
