Obituary for Lois J. Fanus (Eagler)

Lois J. Fanus, 91 of Palmyra, PA passed away on Friday May 12th at Hershey Medical Center.

Born on October 1st, 1931 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Florence and Percy Eagler.

Lois married the late Edwin Paul Fanus of Brandtsville, PA on February 10, 1951.

They were blessed in marriage for 64 years prior to his passing.

Lois is survived by her younger brother, Donald Eagler of Thompsontown, Pennsylvania and his family. She was preceded in passing by her older brother, Charles Eagler of Cody, Wyoming.

Lois is also survived by her three children and seven grandchildren:

Karen Kern and her husband Gary of Gurley, Alabama and their children Michael Kern and his wife Kimberly; Christopher Kern and his wife Stacy of Huntsville, Alabama

Karl Fanus and his wife Darlene of Malone, New York and their children, Darby Becker and her husband Adam of Snoqualmie, Washington, Kyra Schuler and her husband Darren of North Bend, Washington.

Richard Fanus and his wife Elizabeth of Essex, Vermont and his/her children Kimberly Youngbeck of Panama City Beach, Florida, Taslim Urnek and her husband Christopher of Somerville, Massachusetts, and Nadir Sidi and his wife Katherine of Fairport, New York.

In addition, Lois is also survived by ten great grandchildren:

Grace Kern (Huntsville, AL), Ysabel Kern and CJ Kern (Huntsville, AL), Logan Becker and Hudson Becker (Snoqualmie, WA), Aiden Schuler (North Bend, WA), Tyler Butler (Panama City Beach, FL), Cameron Urnek (Somerville, MA), William Sidi and Henry Sidi (Fairport, NY).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 2-5 PM at Iron Ridge on the Green Restaurant at Lost Creek Golf Course, 28982 Route 35 North, Oakland Mills.

Interment will be private and take place at the Goodwill Cemetery, Bunkertown.
