Obituary for Rosemary D. Hornberger (Merritt)
Rosemary D. Hornberger, 96, of McAlisterville, went home to be with the Lord at 8:40 AM on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at her residence.
Born on December 24, 1926 in Rocky Mount, NC, she is a daughter of the late Charles Brooks Merritt and Velma Ann (Bell) Phillips.
On September 24, 1966, she married her late husband, Paul M. Hornberger with whom she was blessed to share over 37 years of marriage before his passing on June 20, 2004.
She is survived by her children, Paula A. Hornberger of McAlisterville, Darlene L. Graybill of Liverpool, Annette Helwig of Duncannon, Douglas Woleslagle and his wife Bonnie of Imler, and Barbara J. Baxter and her husband Bill of Millerstown; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Norman E. Woleslagle; and two siblings, Bennie Kenney and Charles Merritt.
She attended Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church in Mifflintown.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church, 287 Deerville Road, Mifflintown with her Pastor, the Rev. Kenneth R. Hepner, officiating. Interment will be private at Arbogast Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Hornberger’s memory can be made to her church, Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church, 287 Deerville Road, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
