Robert M. “Bob” Geedey, 91, of Mifflintown, passed away at 7:15 PM on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the Bridges at Brookline, Mifflintown.
Born on January 18, 1931, near Mifflintown, Juniata County, he is a son of the late Blair Lee and Katherine (Graham) Geedey.
On September 7, 1956, he married his late wife, Letitia E. “Tish” (Cleck) Geedey with whom he was blessed to share nearly 39 years of marriage before her passing on August 29, 1995.
He is survived by one brother-in-law, Wade H. Cleck of Mifflintown; sister-in-laws, Rhoda Allison and Barbara Geedey both of Mifflintown; and several generations of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas L. Geedey and Donnie Lynn Geedey in infancy; siblings, Betty Booher, Patricia Keller, Margaret Moad, Blair Geedey, Jr, Kenneth Geedey, and John Geedey.
Mr. Geedey was a 1949 graduate of Juniata Joint High School in Mifflintown and honorably served our country in the US Navy.
After his service to our country, Bob began his employment at E.C. Cleck and Son Rendering in Mifflintown and retired as a Mechanic from Valley Proteins in Mifflintown.
He was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church and the Crawford-Brubaker VFW Post 5863, both of Mifflintown.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery in Mifflintown with Pastor Parrish Munro officiating.
A public viewing will be held from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 14 at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
