Obituary for Cassondra L. "Cassie" Wilson




Cassondra L. “Cassie” Wilson, 31, of McAlisterville, passed away at 3:35 PM on Monday, October 3, 2022 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born on October 23, 1990 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she is the daughter of Dean and Tina (Swartz) Wilson of McAlisterville.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one son, Bentley J. Wilson at home; maternal grandparents, William Swartz, Sr. of McClure and Nancy Swartz of McAlisterville; paternal grandfather, Joseph Price of Mechanicsburg; three siblings, John Wilson of McAlisterville, Courtney Wilson of McClure, and Shyann Wilson of Mifflintown; three nephews, Jordyn Daly, Preston Wilson, and Gabriel Wilson; a very large extended family; and many friends who she considered family.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Jackie Price; maternal step grandmother, Janice Clark; paternal grandfather, Russell Wilson; uncle, William Swartz, Jr.; and a cousin, Kelly Shotsberger.

Ms. Wilson was a 2009 graduate of East Juniata High School and a graduate of Empire Beauty School in Sunbury.

She was currently employed as a Laborer at ACPI in Thompsontown.

Cassie was currently attending the McAlisterville United Methodist Church and had formerly attended the Oakland Mills Evangelical Methodist Church.

She enjoyed photography, craft, sewing, shopping, and living life to its fullest; however, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends, especially time spent with her son.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the Oakland Mills Evangelical Methodist Church, 148 Leonard Road, Oakland Mills with her aunt, Rev. Kathy Clark and Russell Bowersox officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillside Cemetery in McAlisterville.

A viewing will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral services at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the church.

The family will provide funeral flowers and kindly ask that memorial contributions in Ms. Wilson’s memory be made to her son, Bentley J. Wilson, 679 Main St., P.O. Box 345, McAlisterville, PA 17049.
