Obituary for Lowell Lee Dressler

Lowell Lee Dressler, 72, of Port Royal, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at his residence.

Born on July 8, 1949 in Fayette Township, Juniata County, he is a son of the late Leroy and Florence Irene (Rusho) Dressler.

On November 1, 1970, he was married to his late wife, Susan K. (Knox) Dressler with whom he was blessed to share nearly 38 years of marriage before her passing on December 10, 2008.

He is survived by his two sons, Eric Dressler and his wife Kim of Port Royal and Kevin Dressler and his wife Brandi of Mifflintown; five grandchildren, McKala Dressler and her fiancé Nathan Ehrenzeller, Madison Dressler, Niko Dressler, Jaqlyn Dressler, and Henry Dressler; one brother, Duval Dressler of Mechanicsburg; and one sister, Gloria Jean Kepner and her husband Richard of Mifflintown.

Mr. Dressler honorably served our country in the U.S. Army from August 29, 1967 until August 28, 1970 where he achieved the rank SP4 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Parachute Badge, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, a Bronze Star, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge. In addition to his service, he also served in the Reserves until August 28,
1973.

Lowell was employed with the U.S. Government in many different capacities and worked at several Army and Navy Depots.

He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and collecting.

Memorial Services are currently being planned and will be announced at a later date.
