Obituary for Isabel F. Quigley

Isabel F. Quigley, 89, of McAlisterville (formerly Mifflintown), entered into eternal rest on Tuesday morning, May 3, 2022, at her home she shared with her granddaughter and her family.
Born November 6, 1932, in Center, Juniata County, she was the daughter of John H. and Martha (Snouffer) Fogleman. She devoted fifty-three years of love to her husband, Robert P. Quigley, who passed away in 2005, and nearly seventy years to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Blessed to have her as a mom are three daughters: Mrs. Edward (Loretta) Fraker and Mrs. Buffie Grundon, both of Mifflintown, and Mrs. Matthew (Brenda) DeFelice of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, and one son: Harold (Kai-Li) Quigley of Los Angeles, California.
Treasuring memories of their MamMam are seven grandchildren: Justin (Melissa) Fraker, Mrs. Thomas (Rebecca) Rhine, Mrs. Guy (Hannah) Roszel, Noah (Sondra) Grundon, Zachariah DeFelice, Alexandra DeFelice, and Annaliese DeFelice. Cherishing time spent with their MamMam are six great-grandchildren: Michael, Tyler, Madelynn, Alexis, Juniper, and Rosemary.
Surviving is one brother, Wayne Fogleman of Lewistown. She was preceded in death by brother Charles and sister Jessie, who both died in infancy, brother Harry Fogleman, and sisters Esther Leidy and Wanda Berlin.
Issy attended Jackson Elementary School and graduated from Juniata Joint High School in 1949. In earlier years, she worked at First National Bank, Mifflintown, as a teller and later at The Peoples National Bank in Mifflin as Assistant Cashier. She was co-owner with her husband and bookkeeper of Archrock Paving and Construction Co. and Derry Limestone Co. Her daily blessings, however, were found in the home, as she cared for family as a devoted wife and mom.
She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, writing poems, listening to country music, especially country gospel. She loved to travel with family and friends. Most memorable are a trip to Europe, road trips across the United States, many jaunts to Nashville and the Grand Ole Opry, and a recent trip to Ireland with her three daughters.
She was a member of the body of believers of Jesus Christ, Trinity United Methodist Church, and Sunday School Class No. 10 of Mifflin. She taught Bible School for twenty-five years and an adult Sunday School class for twelve years at Trinity. Her heart for the Gospel extended beyond the walls and teachings of the church as she personally shared her testimony of faith and salvation through her Savior, Jesus Christ, with so many others over the years.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 am and a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 304 Juniata Street, Mifflin, PA 17058 with Pastor Ronald Shupe officiating. Private interment will follow the service at Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Homes, Inc. in Mifflintown.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Billy Graham Library, 4330 Westmont Drive, Charlotte, NC, 28217 (https://billygraham.org/checkout/give-honor-memorial.php)
