Obituary for Charlotte R. Henry
Charlotte R. Henry, 82, of Honey Grove, passed away at 10:43 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at her residence.
Born on September 1, 1939 in Lewistown, Mifflin Co., she is the daughter of the late John T. and Florence L. (Colabine) Richardson. She was preceded in death by her husband, George M. “Tub” Henry on May 5, 2015.
Surviving her are: her children, John M. Henry, Kimberly A. Weiand and her husband Charles, all of Honey Grove, Melinda S. Henry of Port Royal, and Melissa A. Turman and her husband Barry of Blain; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Hazel L. Walters, making her the last of her generation.
Charlotte was a 1957 graduate of Juniata Joint High School in Mifflintown.
In earlier life, Mrs. Henry was employed by Empire Kosher, Inc. of Mifflintown but for most of her life, she was a proud homemaker.
She enjoyed reading, baking, crossword puzzles, and playing Words with friends on her computer.
A public graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 25, 2022 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Nook with Pastor Graham C. Fowler officiating.
There will be no public viewing or visitation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
