Obituary for Kathleen E. "Kathy" Donaldson



Kathleen E. Donaldson, 77, of Thompsontown, passed away at 10:05 PM on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Hospice of Central PA – Carolyn’s House in Harrisburg.
Born on November 25, 1944 in Bellefonte, Centre County she is the daughter of the late Dean and June (May) Tressler.
Surviving her are: two daughters, Kimberly A. Bair and her husband Wade of Virginia Beach, VA and Dawn E. Osburn of Newport; four grandchildren, Brittany Quail and her husband Justin, Ridge Bair, Elizabeth Brown, and Garth Osburn; four great grandchildren, Brayden Quail, Addison Quail, Evanna Quail, Rhemi Brown, and one great grandchild due in June; five siblings, Shirley King of Bellefonte, Barb Doland and her husband Charles of Bellefonte, Dean Tressler and his wife Rhonda of Pleasant Gap, Bonnie Folmar of Pleasant Gap, and Tim Tressler of Howard; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Donaldson was a 1963 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Juniata County in Mifflintown.
She began her employment working at Bell Telephone Company; after that, she worked for the Pennsylvania State Horse Racing Commission and then was employed with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture as an Administrative Secretary; next, she later worked at Northwestern Mutual for John Fischer in Selinsgrove where she retired from.
Kathy enjoyed gardening, attending grandchildren’s events, and absolutely loved attending the Grange Fair and Encampment in Centre Hall where she never missed a year at her family’s tent since her birth; however, her greatest love came from time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Juniata County, 23964 Route 35 North, Mifflintown with Pastor Ronald Shupe officiating. Interment will be private.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Services at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Kathy’s memory to be made to the First Baptist Church of Juniata County – Educational Wing Fund, 23964 Route 35 North, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
