Obituary for June M. Imes (Lamey)

June M. Imes, 78, of Mifflin, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021 at her residence.

Born on June 6, 1943 in Loganton, Clinton County, she is the daughter of the late Lee and Anna (Slauterback) Lamey.

On March 16, 1963, she married her surviving husband, Jack E. Imes with whom she was blessed to share over 58 years of marriage.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Angela M. Bonsignore and her husband Thomas of Mooresville, NC and Scott E. Imes and his wife Kami of Licking Creek; six grandchildren, Justin Bonsignore and his companion Taylor Albert, Matthew Bonsignore, Cody Imes and his companion Kenzie Brinkman, Clinton Imes and his wife Kelsey, Chantz Imes, and Chloe Imes and her companion Owen Zimmerman; one great granddaughter, Mallory Imes and two great grandchildren on the way.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters making her the last of her generation.

Mrs. Imes was a 1961 graduate of Loganton High School and, in earlier life, she had worked alongside her husband on the family’s farm. Later on, she was self-employed and retired as a Home Health Care Aid where she cared for several folks in the community.

Her memberships included being a member and attending the Rock Full Gospel Church in Mifflin where she was a former member of the church’s board and had served as the Secretary. She was also a member of the Juniata Farm Association.

She enjoyed gardening, crafts, baking, and her Holstein Cow collection.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the Rock Full Gospel Church, 5082 McCoysville Road, Mifflin with Pastor Jerry Conley officiating. Interment will be private.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral services at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the Church.
