Melissa L. Pauling, 52, of Lewistown, passed away at 4:09 p.m. on Monday, September 6, 2021, at the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on March 23, 1969, in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she is a daughter of Gerald E. Walton Sr. and her stepmother Kathleen of Thompsontown and her mother the late M. Irene (DePriest) Walton. Her husband, Bobby Pauling, whom she married on February 14, 2019, survives.
In addition to her husband, father, and stepmother, she is survived by her children; Shana M. Grassmyer and her husband Ian, Phillip M. Kelley, Marley Cole (formerly known as Nikki Rice), siblings, Michelle R. Shelley and her husband Bill, of Thompsontown, Gerald “Bub” Walton, Jr., and his wife Billi, of Millerstown, granddaughters, Niayiah Kelley, Ariella McCartney, Aubrie McCartney, Ziva Grassmyer.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a daughter Tiah E. Kelley and a nephew, Garrett A. Kauffman.
She graduated in 1988 from Juniata High School, Mifflintown and she was a home maker.
Melissa loved playing bingo and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021, from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Nancy F. McClure officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown.
Viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
