Obituary for Nicholas J. "Nick" Gibbons
Nicholas J. Gibbons, 41, of Honey Grove, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021.
Born on February 26, 1980 in Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., he is the son of Susan A. (Gibbons) Garrett and the stepson of Charles Garrett, both of Honey Grove.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by his children, Kathryn Sue Gibbons and Lucas James Gibbons; one brother, Matthew Allen Fry of Philadelphia; and two stepbrothers, Wesley Garrett and Logan Garrett both of Capon Bridge, WV.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Kint, Sr.; and his maternal grandparents, Robert “Bink” and Betty (Rhoads) Gibbons.
Nick was a 1998 graduate of Juniata High School in Mifflintown.
In earlier life, he was employed by the Pipeliners Union Local 798 of Tulsa, OK. Next, he worked as a Laborer with J.D. Eckman and currently was employed as a Fuel Delivery Driver with Oakland Fuel in Mifflintown.
He enjoyed camping and kayaking but his greatest joy came from taking care and being with his children.
All Services and Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Gibbons’ memory to The Nicholas Gibbons Memorial Fund where those that would like to donate can do so at any branch of the Pennian Bank or by mailing the donation to Susan Garrett, 189 Bunker Hill Road, Honey Grove, PA 17035.
