Obituary for Linda S. Bossert

Linda S. Bossert, 69, of Mifflintown, passed away at 3:35 PM, Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021 at the Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center in Camp Hill.

Born on August 28, 1951 in Edgemont, Dauphin County, she is a daughter of the late Roy Daniel and Blanche Eleanor (Zeiders) Staub.

On November 23, 2007, she married her beloved husband, William A. “Bill” Bossert with whom she was blessed to share over 13 years of marriage.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by: her children, Denise M. Guthrie and her husband Jason of Conover, NC, Karen L. Benson and her companion Jim Pasqualini of Slippery Rock, PA, and Lorie A. Seifert and her husband Ray of Newton, NC; eleven grandchildren, Josh Page and his companion Amber, Brandie Trouille and her husband Corey, Bugg Faust, Troy Faust, Mikayla Benson, Kyle Benson, Kelly Benson, Ryan Benson, Trey Waldrum, Tye Waldrum, and Hunter Seifert; eight great grandchildren, Gia Page, Zayden Smids, Arabella Smids, Gage Smids, Marcee Trouille, Brynley Trouille, Alexander Waldrum, and Amilia Waldrum; three sisters, Bev Galbraith and her husband Dan, Judy Maurer, and Laura Otterstrom and her husband John; three brothers, Ronald Staub and his wife Evelyn, Lenny Staub and his wife Marsha, and Danny Staub; many generations of nieces and nephews; her beloved canine and feline companions, Brody, Tanner, and Harley; her husband’s children, Brian S. Bossert and his wife Tammy of Mifflintown, Rachel A. Towsey and her husband Doug of Port Royal, and Leslie A. Ames of McAlisterville; and her husband’s seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

In earlier life, Linda had provided in-home daycare services for children. Later, she was employed and retired after 15 years of service with D and H Distributing in Harrisburg.

She enjoyed craft shows, yard sales, and thrift shops; however, the biggest joy in her life was taking care of everyone. She will be long remembered for her love, compassion, and care that she gave to her family.

Public Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown with Pastor Casey Hostler officiating.

There will be no public viewing or visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Bossert’s memory can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
