Sherry B. Lesher, 70, of Thompsontown, passed away at 1:06 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
Born on March 18, 1950 in Lewistown, Mifflin Co., she is the daughter of the late Lynn Bloom and Thelma (Goss) Bloom.
On August 30, 1969, she married her surviving husband, Douglas L. Lesher, with whom she was blessed to share over 51 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by: two daughters, Jennifer L. Sankey and her husband Dennis of McAlisterville and Jill L. Fogleman and her husband David of Morgantown, WV; five grandchildren, Jake Sankey, Lily Sankey, Leah Sankey, Shannon Zeiders Smith, Sydney Fogleman, and Alyssa Fogleman; and two sisters, Nancy Cable and her husband David of Saginaw, MI and her twin sister, Mary Jo Kennedy and her husband Danny of Reedsville.
She was a 1968 graduate of Lewistown Area High School and was a member and attended the Thompsontown Baptist Church.
Sherry enjoyed gardening, shopping, cleaning and keeping things tidy; however, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially attending her grandchildren’s activities and sporting events.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Thompsontown Baptist Church, 269 Birch Drive, Thompsontown with Pastor Don Henrikson officiating. Interment will be Private.
A viewing will be held from 10-11:00 AM on Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Lesher’s memory can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 101 Erford Road, Ste. 201, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
