Arlene Hannah (Yocum) Campbell, 94, of Honey Grove, went to be with her Lord & Savior at 5:29 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020, at the Bridges at Brookline, Mifflintown.
Born on June 13, 1926, in Lack Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Loudon and Phoebe (Diven) Yocum.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Maxwell Wilson Campbell and her beloved sisters, Esther Yocum, Louise Ritchey, Luetta Hoffman and Maxine Berry.
Surviving are a daughter, Vivian R. Richardson, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She joined the Methodist church in 1974 and currently is a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, East Waterford, where she enjoyed singing in the choir, reading her bible, and sharing her faith with others.
In earlier life, Arlene was a homemaker and enjoyed life on the farm until she went to work in the factory at Juniata Garment, Mifflin. She worked there until 1978 when she became employed by Brookline Manor as a dietary aid. She remained at Brookline until her retirement in 1998.
Being an avid race fan, she had one of her greatest joys came from meeting Dale Earnhardt Jr. and later receiving a phone call from him personally.
Arlene enjoyed shopping, going out to eat and days spent with late sister, Maxine Berry. The two shared an incredibly special bond all their lives.
She had great joy in helping others and especially in sharing her heartfelt love and support to all her family. She will long be remembered for her heart of gold and will be missed by many.
A public graveside service will be held in the McCulluch’s Mills Cemetery, Honey Grove at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2020 with the Pastor Gerald Miller officiating.
