Obituary for Jean C. Miller



Jean C. Miller, 93, a resident of Pennsburg Manor, Pennsburg, Montgomery County, and formerly of Mifflintown passed away at 9:10 PM, Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the manor .

Born on August 5, 1927 in Fermanagh Twp., Juniata Co., she was a daughter of the late Edward C. and Minnie M. (Clark) Cleck.

Her first husband, Robert L. Krauter, preceded her in death along with her second husband, Raymond W. Miller.

Surviving her are: her children, Ronald Krauter and his wife Claudia of Bechtelsville, John Krauter and his wife Peg of Muncy, Steve Krauter and his wife Vickie of Milton, Kathy Cleary of Barto; siblings, Wade H. Cleck, Rhoda Allison both of Mifflintown, Bonnie Kepner of Reedsville; five grandchildren, Karrie, Lori, Jacob, Jharid, and Vhanessa; also two great-grandchildren, Kacey and Jake.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Cleck, Warren Cleck, Ronnie Cleck; and two sisters, Letitia “Tish” Geedy and Dorothy Regan.

Jean was a 1945 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown and in earlier life, she was employed by the Ames Department Store, Boyertown and later Boyertown Body Works.

Her memberships included the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Mifflintown, Liberty Fire House of New Berlinville, and the Bechtelsville Fire House in Bechtelsville.

Jean loved being a homemaker who enjoyed reading Danielle Steel books, listening to country music and sitting on her front porch on her rocking chair taking in all the views and watching the farm animals.

Public Graveside Services will be held at 11:30 AM, Friday, Nov. 27, 2020 at Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown with the Rev. Graham C. Fowler officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Miller’s memory may be made to the Westminster United Presbyterian Church, 208 Lemon St., Mifflintown, PA 17059.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown.
