Obituary for Brady E. "Jake" Muldoon

Brady E. "Jake" Muldoon, 92, formerly of Arch Rock and currently residing at Brookline Manor, passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14. 2020 at the manor.
Born on September 28, 1928 in Milford Township, Juniata County, he is the son of the late William R. Sr. and Lina A. (Kahley) Muldoon.
He is survived by four sisters, Betty Reese of Carlisle, Helen “Dot” Benner of Centre Hall, Shirley Groff of Thompsontown and Pauline Fleisher of Florence, Oregon, also several generations of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William R. Muldoon Jr. and a sister, Anna Brackbill.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Jake was a member of the Arch Rock United Methodist Church, Mifflintown, who loved the outdoors hunting, fishing, working in his garden and he had a gift for woodworking.
In earlier life, he was the owner of a sawmill before he retired from H.P. McGinley, McAlisterville with 23 years of service.
A Public Graveside Service will take place on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown with Pastor Gerald Miller officiating, where full military burial honors will be accorded by the Juniata County Veteran’s Council.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Muldoon’s memory can be made to the Arch Rock United Methodist Church, c/o Marty Ritter, Treas., P.O. Box 64, Mifflin, PA 17058.
