Olivio S. "Pap" Kelley Sr., 79, of Black Log Road, Honey Grove, passed away at 9:30 PM on Thursday, Nov. 5. 2020 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.

Born on December 29, 1940 in Newton Hamilton, Mifflin County, he is the son of the late Joseph and Mintie (Thompson) Kelley.

On October 12, 1968, he married his surviving wife, Ruth I. (Nealman) Kelley with whom he was blessed to share more than 52 years of marriage.

He is survived by his children, Lori A. Burdge and her companion Wilberto Seda of Honey Grove, Jacqueline C. Kelley of Liverpool, Jerry M. Wittle and her husband Jeffre of Millerstown, Olivio S. Kelley, Jr. and his wife Stacey of Cross Keys, Donegal C. Kelley of New Bloomfield; siblings, Sandra Drake, Patricia Flasher and her husband Art, all of Mapleton Depot; Rose Kelley Forshey and husband, Arthur of Warriors Mark, Martha Snyder and her husband Paul of Kistler, Mary Queen of North Carolina, Paul Kelley, Steve Kelley and his wife Debbie all of Mount Union; thirteen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Georgia (Anna) Nealman; four brothers, David Kelley, Art Kelley, Charlie Kelley and James Kelley; a sister, Reba Payne; and a sister in infancy.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Kelley was an ardent Penn State football fan, an avid hunter who loved the outdoors. He also enjoyed attending sales and auctions where he enjoyed visiting with his friends; however, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

In earlier life, he was employed by DeRose of Chambersburg and later retired from Empire Kosher Poultry, Inc. of Mifflintown.

A Public Graveside Service will take place on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. in the McCulluch’s Mills Cemetery, Honey Grove with Pastor Caleb Burd officiating, where full military burial honors will be accorded by the Juniata County Veteran’s Council.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Kelley’s memory can be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
