Obituary for William C. "Bill" Weaver
William C. “Bill” Weaver, 78, of Mifflintown, passed away at 2:19 PM, Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on July 31, 1941 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he is a son of the late William J. and Ruth N. (Price) Weaver.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda G. (Trego) Weaver of Mifflintown; three children, Deborah Weiler and her husband Michael of York, Sherri Bummara and her husband George Katinos of Florida, and Brian Weaver and his wife Melanie of Reedsville; two step-children, Heather Niman and her husband Michael of Mifflintown, and Dylan Smith and his companion Jessica Fite of Port Royal; three brothers, Ellsworth Weaver and his wife Virigina of Lewistown, Dennis Weaver and his wife Kim of McVeytown, and Stanley Weaver and his wife Patricia of Milroy; eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Sharon Booney, Mary Lukens, and Doris Elaine Weaver; and one brother, Donald Weaver.
In earlier life, he was employed by the American Viscose Corporation in Lewistown. Next, he was employed and retired from the Lewistown Hospital.
Bill was of Protestant faith and enjoyed yard work, gardening, and woodworking, but most importantly, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
All services and interment will be private.
