Obituary

Dale A. Fosselman Sr., 76, of McAlisterville, passed away at 5:54 AM on Friday, March 6, 2020 at the Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
Born on December 18, 1943 in Lewistown, Mifflin Co., he is the son of the late Maxwell and Lula May (Hoffman) Fosselman.
On September 23, 1967, he married his surviving wife, Ruth Ann (Landis) Fosselman, with whom he was blessed to share over 52 years of marriage.
Mr. Fosselman honorably served our country as a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
In earlier life, he was employed at Kuhn’s Brothers Lumber in Lewisburg and drove school bus for Harry H. “Bus” Nace and John E. “Jack” Musser. For over 50 years, he was also a proud poultry farmer, taking over the family business from his father.
Dale enjoyed hunting and fishing; but most importantly, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Christine A. Spotts and her husband John of New Berlin, Dale A. Fosselman Jr. and his wife Diane of McAlisterville, and Sue M. Zeiders of Mifflintown; and two grandchildren, Derek D. Shelley and his wife Hannah and Bailey S. Zeiders.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son in law, James L. Zeiders and a brother, William Fosselman.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Church of the Open Door, 3191 Middle Road, Richfield with Pastor Jerry Knouse and his brother in law, Pastor David Landis officiating where full military burial honors will also be accorded by the Juniata County Veterans Council. Interment will be private.
A visitation will be held immediately following the Celebration of Life services at the Church of the Open Door on Saturday, March 14, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Fosselman’s memory can be made to the Juniata County Veteran’s Council, P.O. Box 1, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville.
