Obituary for Obed R. Moore Jr.
Obed R. Moore Jr., 88, of Granville, passed away peacefully at 8:07 a.m., Monday, February 17, 2020 at his home with his great niece Penny Yetter, great niece Jessica Ehrenzeller and great-great niece Aria Ehrenzeller by his side.
Born on March 16, 1931 in Delaware Twp., Juniata County he was a son of the late Obed R. and Charlotte E. (Elliot) Moore Sr. On October 18, 1957 he married his late wife Nancy E. (Bulick) Moore with whom he was blessed to share over 52 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on September 1, 2010.
Surviving are several generations of nieces and nephews and he was the last of his immediate generation.
He retired as a truck driver for Roadway.
Obed was a proud United States Army veteran having served during the Korean War.
He was a life member of the Mifflin County Sportsman Association and in earlier life he enjoyed hunting; however, he always looked forward to spending time with his family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown where the Juniata County Veterans Council will accord full military burial honors.
There will be no viewing.
