Obituary for John Barry Reichenbach



John Barry Reichenbach, 72, of Thompsontown, passed away at 2:23 AM on Thursday, February 6, 2019 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on May 11, 1947 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he is a son of the late Geraldine Reichenbach.
On November 22, 1975, he married his late wife, Judith A. (Smith) Reichenbach with whom he was blessed to share over 32 years of marriage before her passing on August 23, 2008.
He is survived by his two sons, Ryan E. Reichenbach and his wife Heather of Lewistown and David D. Reichenbach and his wife Julie of Liverpool; one brother in law, Edward Smith and his wife Jen of McAlisterville; and three grandchildren, Bryn M. Reichenbach, Bryer A. Reichenbach, and Rogan A. Reichenbach.
In addition to his mother and wife, he was preceded in death by his mother in law, Elsie Smith and his father in law, Samuel Edward Smith.
John was a 1966 graduate of Lewistown Area High School and a graduate of Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in Lancaster. He also honorably served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Reichenbach was a member of the First Baptist Church of Juniata County in Mifflintown and was employed and retired as a Production Scheduler for the former Triangle Pacific in Thompsontown.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 10, 2020 at the First Baptist Church of Juniata County, 23964 Route 35 North, Mifflintown with Pastor Ronald Shupe officiating. Interment will follow at the East Salem Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral services at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 10, 2020 at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Reichenbach’s memory can be made to the First Baptist Church of Juniata County, 23964 Route 35 North, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
