Obituary for James L. Zeiders
James L. Zeiders, 49, of Mifflintown, passed away at 7:49 AM on Monday, February 3, 2020 at the Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
Born on October 16, 1970 in Lewistown, Mifflin Co, he is the son of the late Calvin H. “Callie” and Evelyn I. (Elsasser) Zeiders.
On September 5, 1992, he married his surviving wife, Susan M. (Fosselman) Zeiders with whom he was blessed to share over 27 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Bailey S. Zeiders at home; one sister, Heidi J. Soder and her husband Brian of McAlisterville; one brother, Steven H. Zeiders and his companion Norma Hoover of Selinsgrove; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Zeiders was a 1988 graduate of East Juniata High School in Cocolamus and along with his wife was the owner and operator of Zeiders Garage and Detail Shop LLC in Mifflintown.
James had attended the Church of the Open Door in Evendale. Being a mechanic was his passion and his hobbies included hunting and gunsmithing; however, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his wife and daughter.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the Good News Lutheran Brethren Church, 32868 Route 35 North, McAlisterville with Pastor Jerry Knouse officiating.
Interment will be private.
