Obituary for Lois Ann Hoffman (Davis)



Lois Ann Hoffman, 65, of Loganton, formerly of Juniata County, passed away at 10:05 PM on Friday, January 3, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Born on March 11, 1954 in Lewistown, Mifflin Co, she is a daughter of the late Franklin and Evelyn (Benner) Davis.

On September 16, 1973, she married her surviving husband, Gary W. Hoffman with whom she was blessed to share over 46 years of marriage.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by: her children, Dustin L. Hoffman and his companion Bonnie Sheaffer, Jeremy A. Hoffman and his wife Stephanie all of McAlisterville, Valerie J. Hoffman and her companion Mark Barge of Mount Pleasant Mills, and Jessica L. Eby and her husband Michael of McAlisterville; six siblings, Linda Myers and her husband David of Millerstown, Lori Walter and her husband Roger of McAlisterville, Lana Dreese and her husband Dennis O’Donnell of Richfield, Lane Davis and his companion Barb Bakner of McAlisterville, Leslie Laudenslager and her husband Ken of Kreamer, and Leon Davis and his wife Angie of Shippensburg; and seven grandchildren, Sydnee Hoffman, Jack Hoffman, Elizabeth Hoffman, Jonathan Hoffman, Bryce Ulrich, Zoe Barge, and Addison Eby.

Lois Ann was a 1972 graduate of Juniata High School and was employed and retired as an Office Manager of
Cleveland Bros. Equipment Company in Milesburg.

Mrs. Hoffman was a member of Mount Pleasant Bible Church in Loganton and formerly attended the Evendale Bible Church. She enjoyed working on crafts, traveling, riding motorcycles, and attending dirt track races where she loved to watch her son’s race; however, she cherished time with her family who meant everything to her, especially her children and grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, January 9, 2020 at the Free Spring Church of the Brethren, 670 Free Spring Church Road, Mifflintown with her brother, Pastor Leon Davis and Pastor Mel Musser officiating.

Interment will follow at the Goodwill Cemetery in Bunkertown.

A viewing will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 and from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral services at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 9, 2020 all being held from the Free Spring Church of the Brethren, 670 Free Spring Church Road, Mifflintown.

Memorial Contributions in Mrs. Hoffman’s memory can be made to a family member or friend of the reader’s choice who is in need.
