Obituary for Betty A. Keller



Betty A. Keller, 92, of Elizabethtown, passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at the Bethany Village, Lititz.
Born on February 23, 1927, in Fayette Township, Juniata County, she is a daughter of the late Miles and Blanche (Smith) Lauver. On November 14, 1946, she married her late husband, James R. Keller, with whom she was blessed to share almost 50 years of marriage, before he preceded her in death on March 29, 1996.
Surviving are her children: Larry J. Keller and his wife Connie, of Lititz, Dennis L. Keller and his wife Sue, of Mt. Joy, John Richard Keller, of Washington Boro, Susan D. Keath and her husband Richard, of Marietta, Timothy R. Keller; siblings, Paul Lauver and his wife Mary Ann, of Mt. Joy, Miles Lauver Jr. and his wife Harriett, of Marietta, Ronald Lauver, of Hazelton, Evelyn Shank, of Manheim, and she leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Betty was a protestant by faith and a homemaker, who was a loving wife, mother grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Her interests included crocheting, feeding and watching birds, playing cards and games, tending to her flower gardens and camping at Betty’s Campground; however, her greatest joy in life came from the time she spent with her family.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from the Lost Creek Mennonite Cemetery, Oakland Mills, with the Rev. Graham C. Fowler officiating.
A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown.
