Obituary for Lelia P. Good

Lelia P. Good, 83, of McAlisterville, formerly of Thompsontown, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey.
Born on January 7, 1936 in Brazil, Indiana, she is a daughter of the late Andrew and Josephine (Julbert) Heacox.
Surviving her are: two children, Cathy A. Richard and her husband Steve of McAlisterville and Douglas N. Good and his wife Rosemary of Sterling, VA; three grandchildren, Clint Richard, Andrew Good and his wife Katherine, and Aaron Good and his wife Alicia; and three great-grandchildren, Aubrey Good, Cooper Good, and Brynn Good.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Emma Jean Doreing and one brother, Robert Wayne Heacox..
Ms. Good was a 1954 graduate of Warsaw High School in Warsaw, Indiana and was employed and retired as an Aide at the Harrisburg State Hospital.
She was a member and attended Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Thompsontown and was a member of the Women of the Moose, Moose Lodge 925 in Millerstown. Lelia loved playing Bingo and enjoyed watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins and Penn State Football.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 7, 2019 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 19 N. Mill St., Thompsontown with Pastor Georgia Markey officiating. Interment will follow in the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Thompsontown.
A visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of the memorial services at 11 AM on Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ms. Good’s memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1375 Martin St., Suite 206, State College, PA 16803.
