Obituary for G. Edwin "Ed" Ritter
G. Edwin “Ed” Ritter, 62, of Mifflin, passed away at 5:40 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at his residence.
Born on September 5, 1956 in Lewistown, Mifflin Co., he is a son of Mary Alice (Eaton) Ritter of Mifflintown and the late Glenn E. Ritter.
On November 18, 2006, he was married to his surviving wife, Martha J. “Marty” (Yetter) Ritter, with whom he was blessed to share over 12 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Nicki McKinney of Dillsburg, Kaylyn Brown of Port Royal, and James Yocum of Mifflintown; one sister, Leslie R. Kauffman of Mifflintown; one brother, Ronald D. Ritter and his wife Lisa of Mifflintown; and four beautiful granddaughters, Ariana McKinney, Alana McKinney, Elliatt Brown, and Cameron Yocum.
Mr. Ritter was a 1974 graduate of Juniata High School and was a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Mifflintown. He enjoyed building and repairing computers and wood working.
Ed was employed in concrete construction at Kinsley Construction of York.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 29, 2019 at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with the Rev. Denise Haskins officiating. Interment will follow at the Adams Cemetery, Mifflintown.
A viewing will be held from 2-4 PM on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ed’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 1375 Martin St., Suite 206, State College, PA 16803.
