Mr. Shehan was a 1948 graduate of Juniata Joint High School and was employed and retired as a Foreman with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman whose greatest outdoor accomplishment was shooting a bull elk in Wyoming with his son as his guide. In earlier life, he enjoyed traveling and camping with his wife and spending time with his friends up on Ritzman Ridge, but the greatest joy he currently had was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Christine D. Shadel and her husband Dan of McAlisterville and Daryl L. Shehan and his wife Jane of Clyde Park, MT; four grandsons, Scott Marker and his companion Lisa Stimeling, Joe Marker and his wife Angela, Jerad Marker and his companion Jayme Dressler, and Cody Shadel and his companion Chelsea Street; and nine great-grandchildren.
