Obituary for Larry E. Swartz
Larry E. Swartz, 67, of Mexico, passed away at 8:17 AM on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at his home.
Born on April 25, 1951 in Lewistown, Mifflin Co., he is the only child of the late Jesse and V. Louise (Dimm) Swartz
On May 29, 1983, he married his surviving wife, Tresa L. (Norris) Swartz with whom he was blessed to share more than 35 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Stacey R. Isenberg and her husband Scott P. of Mexico and Stephanie L. Elsasser and her husband Nathan of McAlisterville; four grandchildren, Kendra Isenberg, Chloe Elsasser, Joseph Elsasser, and Scott J. Isenberg.
Mr. Swartz retired in 1997 with 25 years of service to the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, Harrisburg.
After his family, his passion was volunteering with many fire companies throughout Juniata County. Through his dedication to this passion, he was awarded a life membership through Mifflin Fire Department # 2, where he also served as the Captain of the Fire Police. In addition to volunteering with fire service, he served as an Instructor of First Aid and CPR through the American Red Cross.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the Mifflin Fire Company #2 Annex, 24 Main St., Mifflin.
