Janet L. Cleck, 85, of Mifflintown, passed away peacefully at 4:10 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at her home.
Born October 29, 1932, in Tuscarora Twp., Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Ike and Elizabeth (Thompson) Deneen. On May 19, 1952 she married her late husband, Charles E. Cleck with whom she shared more than 62 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on September 25, 2014.
Surviving are: 3 daughters, Gayle A. Landis and her husband Rick, of Mifflintown, Jeanne Cleck-Reese and her husband Tom, of East Waterford and Wendy Cleck-Trego and her husband Rusty of Middleburg; 2 sons, Gary Cleck and his wife Gwen, Michael Cleck and his wife Penny, all of Mifflintown; one sister, Dorothy Nicholl of Loysville and she also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A sister, Carol L. Ramsey preceded her in death on June 5, 2016.
She was a member of the Arch Rock United Methodist Church, Mifflintown and a home maker.
Janet loved crocheting baby blanket, Afghans and tending to her flowers: however she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who relished taking care of and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the East Waterford Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, at the funeral home.
