Obituary for Naomi S. "Numpsy" Robinson

Naomi S. “Numpsy” Robinson, 91, of Mifflintown, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at her home.
Born on January 12, 1927 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Brenda (Earnest) Switzer. On February 18, 1950, she married her late husband, Frank A. Robinson Jr., with whom she was blessed to share more than 49 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on June 2, 1999.
Surviving are her children, John D. “Mac” Robinson, JoEllen Satzler and her husband Bret, all of Mifflintown; two grandchildren, Meghan Geedey and her husband Aaron and Casey Satzler; also three great-grandchildren, Caden Geedey, Drew Geedey, and Josslyn Geedey. .
A son preceded her in death and she was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by three brothers, D. Grey Switzer, W. Earnest Switzer, and S. Carl Switzer, and three sisters, Kathryn S. Pannebaker, Marian S. Clark, and Dorothy S. McCormick.
She was a 1944 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown and her memberships included: the Port Royal Presbyterian Church, the Juniata County Republican Women’s Committee, and the Juniata County Historical Society.
In earlier life, she served as the Chief Clerk for the Juniata County Commissioners after which, she retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, having been employed in the Clerical Department of Penn Dot in Mifflintown.
“Numpsy” loved playing cards, especially Bridge and Pinochle and tending to her flower garden. Her main passion was her family and she was especially fond of attending all of the sporting events of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018 from the Port Royal Presbyterian Church, 404 Main Street, Port Royal with the Reverend Crystal M. Lyde and Rev. Nancy McClure officiating. Interment will follow in the New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
A viewing will be from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Friday.
