Rita A. Ehrenzeller, 57, of Oakland Mills passed away at 10:34 a.m. on Monday, August 14, 2017 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born on February 13, 1960 in Lewistown, Mifflin County she was a daughter of her father, Darwin E. Ehrenzeller and his companion S. Audrey Ehrenzeller, of McAlisterville and her mother, Audrey (Landis) Gilbert, of McAlisterville.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Carrie M. Hepner and her husband Brian, Robert C. Wileman, Jr., and his wife Holly, Tiffany A. Arnold and her husband Ben, all of McAlisterville; siblings, Ethel M. Adams and her husband Mike, of McVeytown, Sandra K. Wagner and her husband John, of Mifflintown, Jennifer Gilbert and her companion Paul Colie, of Dover, Tina Hile, of Richfield, Rosemary Vuxta and her husband Jim, William Gilbert, all of Bainbridge, John Gilbert, of Wrightsville, and she leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Anthony Hepner, Benjamin Arnold, II, Jazmyne Wileman, and Ezmyrelda Wileman; also 3 nieces, Lisa Miller, Jessica Kramer, Katlyn Frantz; and 3 nephews, Jon Varner, Brian Wagner and Hunter Frantz. She also leaves behind her faithful dog, Chloe.
She was a 1979 graduate of East Juniata High School, Cocolamus, and later graduated from Academy of Medical Arts and Business for medical assistant specialist. She also attended the New Life Assembly of God Church, Mifflintown where she had served as a former youth group leader and also she had attended the Grace Covenant Church, Thompsontown. In the past she had served as a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader.
In earlier life she was employed as a seamstress at the Richfield Shirt Factory for 14 years, after which she was employed by the Community Resource of Independence and Brookline Home Care, both of Lewistown. Later she worked at Sheetz, Inc., Mifflintown before working for Dr. Stankovich, Camp Hill, Berry’s Personal Care, Mifflintown and lastly United Cerebral Palsy of Central PA.
Rita enjoyed camping, swimming, dancing, singing, attending Christian functions and listening to Christian music. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville with her uncle Pastor David Landis officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, McAlisterville.
A viewing will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2017 with the family present from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
