Condolence: I first met Dutch many years ago when he bought furs and sold supplies @ Cocolamus. I had the pleasure of going along with him to the past 6 National Trappers Association conventions, some of those conventions was an eighteen to twenty hour trip for us. You get to know a lot about a person when you ride with him for that long. On those long trips I doubt there was ever a period of 5 minutes of silence, one would wonder what you could talk about for so long but Dutch and I found a way. Dutch was a huge asset to the trapping community and a best friend. I will miss Dutch tremendously. I will especially miss hearing "Are You With Me".

Condolence: I first met Dutch at the PTA Sportsmen outing at the Marysville Lions Club many years ago. Dutch went all out to show me many different lures, traps & stretchers he was selling. I ended up going home with many lures, traps & stretchers that day. I missed some years of the show, 2-3 years back, my daughter and I went to the Sports Show at the Carlisle Fair Grounds. Dutch remembered me, not by name but what I had bought from him. He was Always willing to show others how to do different sets with different traps. I ran into him at the PTA RONDEVOUS & a few fur sales. ALWAYS a great guy at them & willing to talk. I was sad to hear when I got to Honeybrook the other week that Dutch was not well & they has passed around a Wooden stretcher for many to sign. I hope that Brightened his days & Also his Family's for what it showed how much Dutch mentioned to the Trapping Ranks. My Sympathy to his family. Dutch was a Great man! RIP Dutch!!

Condolence: Dutch was a friend to us all. He was kind and considerate and wanted folks to feel what he was thinking. If you knew Dutch at all you should know what he would say, " ARE YOU WITH ME ". We are with you all. God Bless the Elsasser Family.

Condolence: Word's can't express the sadness of losing such a wonderful man,"Dutch" My sincere sympathy goes out to Dutch's wife and all of Dutch's family.I will miss Dutch day's and buying supplies from him,and selling my fur to a buyer who always treated me fair. Rest in peace my friend.

Condolence: I had the pleasure of meeting Dutch through the trapping family. He was an honest giving man who,brighten the the outcome of numerous fur sales and trapper conventions. But it was through my one on one visits that I learned more about his passion for Farming and Conservation. Dutch you will be missed.

Condolence: I remember Dutch having me at his open houses, for me to show off my game calls. Will miss his "Dutch Day", as got to see old and new trappers. Sold my furs to Dutch, and bought supplies, and he was always willing to spend time with you, and talk trapping. I didn't make it to Honey Brook, but ask my son if Dutch was their, and he told me Dutch was not good. I'm so sorry for your loss of a Husband and Father, and my deepest condolence to all.

Condolence: I will miss seeing Dutch at the Trappers conventions, and at "Dutch Days". I first met Dutch when selling him my furs. He was always a fair and honest buyer. He will be missed at the various Fur Auctions across the state. Good by Friend, "Are you with me?"
