Obituary for Susan P. Minick (Pannabaker)

Susan P. Minick, 67, of the Colonial Park Care Center, Harrisburg and formerly of Mifflin, died at 8:29 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the center following a 16 year struggle with Parkinson’s disease.
Born on May 14, 1949, in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she was a daughter of the late Charles I. “Penny” and Mary Jane (Shotzberger) Pannabaker.
Surviving are a son, Jason C. Minick and his wife Erin, of Mechanicsburg.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Mifflin also a 1967 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown and a graduate of the Thompson Institute, Harrisburg.
In earlier life she was employed by Henry’s Drive In, Mifflin after which she worked at the Juniata Valley Bank and then the Russell National Bank. Next she was employed in the accounting department of Empire Kosher Poultry, Inc. for 18 years and later Tri Angle Pacific Cabinet Corp. In the year 2009 she retired as an accounting clerk from the Pa. Dept. of Revenue with 10 years of service.
Susan was happiest while spending time with family and friends. She always enjoyed doing for others thru out her life.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with the Pastor Troy Howell officiating. Interment will follow in the Academia Cemetery, Academia.
Viewing will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the funeral home.
