Obituary for James B. Parson

James B. Parson, 60, of Port Royal, died at 7:35 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at his home.
Born on July 26, 1955, in Derry Twp., Mifflin County, he was a son of the late Bruce W. and Grace L. (Goshorn) Parson.
Surviving are his sisters, Darlene Campbell and her husband Bill, of Concord, Pat Stewart and her husband Leroy, of Port Royal; nieces and nephews, Christine Campbell, Lou Ann Campbell, Bruce and Diane Campbell, Charles and Deb Parson, Timothy Parson, Lori and Les Fultz; and great nieces and nephews, Tyler Campbell, Alex Campbell, Elizabeth Fultz and Eliza Parson.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, Marlin Parson and Clair Parson.
James was a 1973 graduate of Juniata High School, Mifflintown and a member of the Port Royal United Methodist Church.
Mr. Parson owned and operated Parson Septic Service until his retirement in 2014.
Jim enjoyed antiquing and going to flea markets.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with the Rev. Kenneth Kitzmiller officiating. Interment will be in the Shade Valley Cemetery, Richvale.
A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service, Saturday at the funeral home.
