Ralph V. Pannebaker, 74, of Thompsontown died on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at his home.
Born on April 2, 1941 in Port Royal, he is a son of Virginia (Burdge) Pannebaker- Naylor, of the Manor at Perry Village, New Bloomfield and the late Charles L. Pannebaker. On November 28, 1963 he married his surviving wife, Dorothy M. (Dunn) Pannebaker, with whom he was blessed to share more than 52 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children; Judy A. Pannebaker, and her fiancé Dylon Blake and her children; John and wife Jaymee, and Jordan Neidig of McAlisterville, Tom A. and Megan Darrow-Pannebaker and their children; Amira, Arye and Amaryssa, of Middletown; siblings, Peggy L. Fleisher and her husband George, of Millerstown, Fred Naylor and his wife Bernice, of Mifflin; and his faithful shitzapoo, Missy.
A son Ralph E. “Ralphie” Pannebaker, preceded him in death.
Ralph was a 1959 graduate of East Juniata High School, Cocolamus. He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Thompsontown, a member of the Delaware Twp. Fire Company and a member of the Lost Creek Trout Club.
Until retiring, Mr. Pannebaker was employed as a painter for Tedd Wood, Inc., Thompsontown.
Ralph was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, especially trout fishing.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016 from the East Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joseph Yorks officiating. Interment will follow in the East Salem Cemetery.
Viewing will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville with family present to receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service, at the church.
