Obituary for Mary T. Pruitt-Stuchel (Clark)

Mary T. Pruitt-Stuchel, 87, of Thompsontown died on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Forksville.
Born on June 10, 1928 in Ridley Park, Delaware County she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Rump) Clark. Her first husband William Pruitt preceded her in death on December 19, 1970 and her second husband Robert Stuchel preceded her in death on June 22, 2008.
Surviving are her children, Rose Tomlinson and her husband Steve, of Forksville, Larry Pruitt and his wife Fran, of Prospect Park, William Pruitt and his wife Anna, of Glenolden, a step son-in-law Ed Willis, of Chichester, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great granddaughter.
A step-daughter Glenda Willis, preceded her in death.
Mary was a member of the St. Jude’s Catholic Church.
She was a homemaker, and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to quilt, do crossword puzzles, bake and was an avid birdwatcher, who also adored the Beachel family, who were her neighbors.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12 noon on January 29, 2016 from the St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Mifflintown with Rev. William Weary officiating. Interment will follow in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2016 until the time of service at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville.
