Patricia E. Powell, 68, of Mifflintown, died at 9:48 a.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at the Central State Medical Center, Freehold, NJ.
Born on February 4, 1947, in Derry Twp. Mifflin County, she was a daughter of the late Harold M. and Delores E.(Bell) Hill. On June 13, 1964, she married her late husband, Ronald L. “Ron” Powell, with whom she was blessed to share more than 38 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on September 20, 2002.
Surviving are: two daughters, Barbara J. Freyermuth and her husband Michael, of Dillsburg, Cherie A. Rath and her husband Colin, of Howell, NJ; siblings, Yvonne Hill, of Lewistown, David Hill, of McVeytown, Kim Sears, of Florida; and she leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Alyssa Freyermuth, Matthew Freyermuth, Connor Rath, Christian Rath and Rylee Rath.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Hill.
Mrs. Powell was employed as a registration clerk for Pinnacle Health-General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg until her retirement in 2014.
Patricia enjoyed crafts, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with Pastor Aaron Benner. Interment will follow in the Mt. Rock Cemetery, Lewistown.
Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service, Tuesday at the funeral home.
