Obituary for Kelly Sue Yorks (Snyder)

Kelly Sue Yorks (Snyder)
Kelly Sue Yorks has crossed the finish line during her sprint through life on February 22, 2015. She won the greatest prize ever….spending her eternal life in heaven. She is the wife of her one true love, Blair Yorks Jr., and the unselfish mother of two incredible young men; Nevin, age 12, and Owen, age 9, from McAlisterville, PA. She was born in 1968, three years after her 'bestest sister', Tracy Batug, and six years after her charismatic brother, Ricky Snyder. This obviously made her the baby and spoiled by her parents, Percy and Betty Snyder, who preceded her in death in 2004.
Being a 1986 graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School, she’s embarrassed to say she was born in Sunbury, PA. She moved on to get her Bachelors degree from Lock Haven University; majoring in subjects that ranged from extracurricular activities to Health Science. This degree allowed her the opportunity to work from home as a Neurosynergist, all while homeschooling their children who have maintained academic honors.
Being a kid at heart, she was always actively involved in children’s activities, such as a game-leader with AWANA and Vacation Bible School coordinator. She’s a member of the Juniata County Christian Home School Association and was an active attendee of the First Baptist Church of Mifflintown. Other life enjoyments include, but not limited to, the musical talents of her sons along with watching them compete in sports, while her manly-man coached them. She also enjoyed making memories with the A-Team along with making SMORES while camping with friends.
She is survived by many friends and family that will embrace her motto, NJOY LiF.
Kelly’s Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, February 28th, 11 a.m. in the Family Ministry Center at the First Baptist Church of Mifflintown, PA with Ronald Shupe officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 10-11 a.m. For those that wish, a trust fund has been set up for Nevin and Owen Yorks, c/o First National Bank of Mifflintown, 24021 Rt. 333, Thompsontown, PA 17094.
