MIFFLIN, Alfred A. “Jimmy” James, 97, of the Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin, and formerly of Port Royal, died at 8:45 a.m., Sunday, October 2, 2011, at the Village.
Born on December 24, 1913 in Fermanagh Twp., Juniata County, he is a son of the late Harvey and Claudia (Krepps) James. On August 10, 1992 he married his surviving wife of nineteen years, Pearl (Clouser) James, of Berry’s Personal Care, Mifflintown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a stepson, Rick Jones and his wife Ginny, of Milroy.
He was the last of his immediate family.
“Jimmy” was a member of the New Life Assembly of God Church, Mifflintown and for many years was the caretaker for the Lind Memorial Cemetery in Lewistown.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2011, from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc. 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Alan Reiman officiating. Interment will follow in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
Viewing will be held from 1 p.m., until the time of service, at the funeral home.
