Donald A.  Campbell



Donald A. Campbell, 86, of Camp Hill, passed away at 11:29 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center in Hershey.
Born on January 25, 1932 in Lack Twp., Juniata County, he was a son of the late Foster F. and Cora (Whitesel) Campbell. On October 4, 1958, he married his surviving wife, Pauline B. (McWilliams) Campbell, with whom he was blessed to share almost 60 years of marriage.
Mr. Campbell is survived by two sons, Bryan D. Campbell and his wife Jennifer of Manchester and Matthew A. Campbell and his wife Danielle of Bellevue, WA; siblings, Dorothy Sherlock of Port Royal, Clair Campbell and his wife Joyce of Shade Gap, Robert Campbell and his wife Grace of East Waterford, Vivian Berrier of East Waterford, and Donna Harrison and her husband Tom of Chambersburg; four grandchildren, Christina, Heather, Pamala, and Zoe; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Campbell.
Donald was a 1950 graduate of Juniata Joint High School in Mifflintown.
His memberships included the Shiremanstown United Methodist Church, the Eureka-West Shore Lodge No. 302 F&AM, the Harrisburg Consistory, A.A.S.R, and the American Legion Post 143 in New Cumberland.
Mr. Campbell was a proud Korean War Veteran honorably serving our country with the United States Army.
He retired as the Foreman of the Quarry for Hempt Bros. in Camp Hill after 60 years of service.
With his love of being outdoors, he enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening, working on and repairing garden tractors, and he always enjoyed a good meal.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown with the Rev. Logan Swanger officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Nook.
A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 at the funeral home.
The family has asked that memorial contributions in Mr. Campbell’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Route 422 & Sipe Avenue, Hershey, PA 17033 or to the Shiremanstown United Methodist Church, 125 E. Main St., Shiremanstown, PA 17011.
