Jean E. Huff, 69, of Mifflintown, passed away at 1:14 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on May 16, 1948 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she was a daughter of the late Cryus M. Sr. and Doris E. (Potter) Hench.
Jean is survived by her children, Kimbra Boozel and her husband Jerry of Port Royal, Denny Powley, Jr. and his wife Missy of Ellerbe, NC, Angel Strohm and her husband Mike Jr. of Thompsontown, Joshua Mefferd of Mifflintown, and Zachary Huff and his fiancé Sarah Johnson of Mifflintown; siblings, Brenda C. O’Neal and her husband Donnie and Cyrus M. Hench, Jr., all of Mifflintown; five grandchildren, Ethan Powley, Jeremy Boozel, Harlie Strohm, Mikey Strohm, and Cameryn Huff; one great grandchild, and her four legged boxweiler canine friend, Bella.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cassandra J. Paden; a niece, Rhonda M. Casner; and a sister in law, Melissa A. Hench.
She had been a self-employed beautician who was a member of the Heaven Bound Church, Mifflintown and through her love of Jesus Christ, she always enjoyed her devotions in the morning.
Jean loved the sunshine and the beach; however, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown, with Pastor Casey Hostler officiating. Interment will be in the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Mifflintown
A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday from the funeral home.
