Obituary for Jane E. Cleck

Jane E. Cleck, 96, of Mifflintown (Arch Rock), passed away at 6:25 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on September 5, 1921, in Fermanagh Twp., Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Elizabeth (Clark) Britcher. Her husband, Harry S. Cleck, preceded her in death on July 23, 1955.
Surviving are her son, Frederick L. Cleck, of Mifflintown; 8 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
A son, Harry S. Cleck, preceded her in death and she was the last of her generation having been preceded in death by five brothers, James Britcher, Earl Britcher, Clark Britcher, Jay Britcher, Thomas Britcher, and eight sisters, Anna Fry, Kathaleen Worrall, Nora Williams, Pauline Britcher, Helen Britcher, Alma Wynning, Stella Arnold and Hazel Rickenbaugh.
She was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, Mifflintown. She was an LPN, who in earlier life worked at the Lewistown Hospital and later retired from the Holy Spirit Hospital and she was very proud that she had kept her nursing certification, to this day.
Jane loved bus trips, traveling, going to casinos and being a people person, she loved people. Jane will long be remembered for driving about town in her canary yellow 1974 Monte Carlo.
A viewing will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown. All other services and interment will be private and in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
