Daniel Wayne Charlton, 65, of McAlisterville passed into eternal rest with Jesus at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville on January 8, 2018.
He was born on August 20, 1952, in Carlisle, a son of the late Fred and Cora (Weber) Charlton. His wife of 42 years, Mary Alice (Graybill) Charlton, whom he married on March 15, 1975, survives him.
Also surviving are 5 sons and 6 daughters, Doris Hoover and her husband Jay, of Richfield, D. Wayne Charlton and his wife Rachael (Widrick), of Richfield, Mark Charlton of Richfield, Dorothy Widrick and her husband Emmanuel, of Copenhagen, NY, Marlin Charlton and his wife Sharon (Kauffman) of McAlisterville, Janet Burkholder and her husband Dennis of Lowville, NY, Marilyn Charlton of Soxworth, MS, Karen Charlton of Kenton, OH, Jay Charlton and his wife Aremina (Yoder), of Mifflintown, John Charlton of McAlisterville, Mary Zeiset and her husband Justin of Liberty, MS; 3 sisters, Esther Charlton of Hagerstown, MD, Miriam Martin and her husband John David of Greencastle, Lois Charlton of Hagerstown, MD and 19 grandchildren.
Mr. Charlton was a member of the Goodwill Mennonite Church, Thompsontown.
A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018, from the Millerstown Mennonite Church, 731 Raccoon Valley Road, Millerstown, PA with the Goodwill Mennonite Ministry officiating. Interment will follow in the Goodwill Mennonite Cemetery, Thompsontown.
Viewing will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018 and from 1 - 3 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Millerstown Mennonite Church.
