Obituary for Rosemary A. Pyle (Lesher)

Rosemary A. Pyle, 86, of Thompsontown passed away at 10:05 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the Bridges at Brookline, Mifflintown.
Born on April 7, 1931 in Fayette Twp., Juniata County she was a daughter of the late James D. and Lulu (Speece) Lesher. On March 13, 1949 she married her late husband, Lloyd A. “Bill” Pyle with whom she was blessed to share nearly 48 years of marriage, until he preceded her in death on January 1, 1997.
Surviving are her 3 sons; John A. Pyle and his wife Dora, Daniel A. Pyle and his wife Barbara, Paul A. Pyle and his wife Penny, all of Thompsontown, 11 grandchildren 21 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Leah Pyle in 1964, a sister, Hilma Stroup and a brother, Glen Lesher preceded her in death making her the last of her generation.
Mrs. Pyle was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, East Salem.
In earlier life, she was employed as a seamstress at shirt factories in Liverpool and Millerstown, after which she was employed by Maple Lawn Associates, Cocolamus.
Rosemary “enjoyed traveling with her husband “Bill”, birdwatching, putting together puzzles and cherished the time she spent with family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from the East Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Donald Walters officiating. Interment will follow in the Maze Cemetery, Thompsontown.
Viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday, at the church.
For those that wish, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Pyle’s memory to either the Otterbein United Methodist Church or the East Salem United Methodist Church, both of the same mailing address, 7398 Rt. 235, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
