Thelma H. Lauver, 97, of the Bridges of Brookline, Mifflintown and formerly of Port Royal passed away at 5:30 a.m., on Monday, September 25, 2017, at Brookline.
Born on July 17, 1920, in Walker Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Angeline (Bashore) Hower. On September 30, 1982, her husband, Charles W. “Boss” Lauver preceded her in death.
In earlier life she was a member of the Centre Lutheran Church and currently was a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church.
She was a 1939 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown.
Mrs. Lauver was a home maker most of her life and at one time was employed at Mrs. Brown’s Candy Kitchen, Mifflintown.
Thelma will always be remembered for her gift of helping people.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown with the Rev. Charles Hershberger officiating.
There will be no viewing.
