Obituary for Lawrence Dean Losch

Lawrence Dean  Losch
Lawrence Dean Losch, 67, of Lewistown died at 6:40 a.m. on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born on February 12, 1950, in Monroe Twp., Juniata County he was a son of the late Donald V. and Virginia M. (Hepner) Losch. On May 28, 2005, he married his surviving wife, Susan J. (Hesser) Losch, with whom he was blessed to share more than 12 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his step children, Staci Renninger and her husband Jason, Brian Boozel and his wife Betty, all of McVeytown, Zana Goss and her husband Michael, of Granville; siblings, Robert C. Losch, of McAlisterville, Barry E. Losch and his companion, Mary J. Renn, of Port Treverton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Maxine Pecht, Edward Hesser, Jr., Carol Hesser, Sandra Hesser, Randal Hesser, all of McVeytown, Vesta Hesser, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Devon, Janel, Kadence, Karson; step grandchildren, Daphne, CJ, Jesica; and 6 step great grandchildren.
Three brothers, Roger K. Losch, Timothy V. Losch, on June 12, 1992, and Allen D. Losch, in infancy, and a companion of 20 years, Rhonda Hoffman, preceded him in death.
Mr. Losch was a 1968 graduate of East Juniata High School, Cocolamus and a member of the Faith Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the J.E. Bowen, Jr. AMVETS Post 122, Thompsontown and The Loyal Order of Moose, Lewistown.
Until retiring, he was employed as a materials inspector for PennDOT, Clearfield after 25 years of service. In earlier life he had worked in a sawmill and at the shirt factory in McAlisterville.
Dean loved collecting classic cars, especially Ford Galaxies and he enjoyed going to car shows. Earlier in life he raced drag cars at the Beaver Springs Dragway. Dean was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, who loved the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Eagles. His greatest joy and pick-me-up was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville with Pastor Kenneth Brown officiating.
A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of service, Friday at the funeral home.
