Obituary for Roger K. Losch

Roger K.  Losch
Roger K. Losch, 70, of Lewistown died at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born on April 21, 1947, in Monroe Twp., Juniata County he was a son of the late Donald V. and Virginia M. (Hepner) Losch.
Surviving are: his daughter, Tammy Miller and her husband Derek, of Locust Run; brothers, Robert C. Losch, of McAlisterville, L. Dean Losch and his wife Sue, of Lewistown, Barry E. Losch and his companion, Mary J. Renn, of Port Treverton; four grandchildren, Brandon Losch, Alexis Miller, Kole Miller and KD Miller.
Two brothers, Timothy V. Losch, on June 12, 1992, and Allen D. Losch, in infancy, preceded him in death.
He was a 1965 graduate of East Juniata High School, Cocolamus and a member of the Faith Lutheran Church. He also volunteered with The Salvation Army with more than 30 years of service.
Mr. Losch was employed by a mobile home builder in Middleburg, Stop 35, Mifflintown, and at Overhead Door, Lewistown.
Roger proudly served from 1965 until 1969 in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
Collecting NASCAR memorabilia, walking, watching sports and shows about cars on TV, helping elderly widows and widowers, and listening to the radio were a few of the things Roger enjoyed doing. Jimmy Johnson was his favorite NASCAR driver. He loved to make others smile and laugh. He had a special place in his heart for children. Roger was dedicated and proud of his donation of blood through the American Red Cross, for many years.
A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017 from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville with Mr. James Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the Faith Lutheran Cemetery, Richfield where the Juniata County Veterans Council will accord full military burial honors.
A viewing will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of service, Friday at the funeral home.
